University of Florida Brevard County Extension Services will be offering weekly cooking classes for kids and teens. These classes are a perfect opportunity for students to develop, build, and sharpen their nutrition and culinary skills as they progress through our structured weekly program. Classes utilize a unique cooking curriculum that provides an entirely new experience. It incorporates nutrition and culinary skills that build upon each other to progress over time into more complex food preparation, presentation, and healthy food that tastes great! In addition to developing cooking skills, our weekly classes incorporate elements necessary for building young chefs. For example: kitchen safety, proper food handling, cooking and baking techniques, basic nutrition subject matter, food preparation, and so much more!
